Melana Ferguson

Melana Ferguson is a Director of Equipment Finance at Trinity Capital. She is skilled in building relationships with entrepreneurs and business partners to analyze and source new investment opportunities for Trinity Capital. Before joining the Equipment Finance team, Melana was a Director of Originations, carrying out business development for Trinity Capital’s Venture Debt vertical.

Melana began her career at Trinity as a Portfolio Analyst the moment she graduated college in 2019. Her in-depth knowledge of Excel’s macros, formulas and the like coupled with her appetite to learn, earned her the position of Senior Credit Analyst in a few short years. Before joining Trinity, Melana worked closely with professors at Northern Arizona University tutoring students in calculus and business statistics.

Melana received a BS in Finance from Northern Arizona University, with minors in Math and Psychology and a certificate in financial investments. She is also a certified Zumba instructor.

Melana is an advisory board member for Unbound Phoenix, a non-profit that helps victims of human trafficking. She spends her free time snowboarding, dancing, competing in sand volleyball, and playing board games with her family. Even as a child, Melana would graph her allowance and analyze trends in her spending.

He served as general partner at Point Financial Capital Partners, a venture leasing fund and held a prior role as the president and CFO of InvestLinc Financial Services, an early-stage private equity fund and consulting firm.
