Les Poole

Les Poole serves as a Director of Portfolio for Trinity Capital. His key roles and responsibilities include client relationship management, financial analysis, credit risk rating and preparing and presenting memos to Trinity’s investment committee for loan modifications or upsizes. Additionally, he has frequent discussions with other portfolio company stakeholders such as equity investors and debt providers.

Poole previously spent 5 years in KPMG’s Deal Advisory practice. As a manager on the Asset Based Lending team, he was responsible for analyzing target company data in numerous industries including healthcare, oil & gas, steel, technology, logistics, and manufacturing. He specialized in identifying risks associated with existing and potential asset-based lending transactions as well as securitization type transactions.

Poole is a licensed CPA who earned his bachelors (B.S.) and masters (M.A.S.) degrees in accountancy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. While in Champaign, he also played four seasons as a receiver on the Illini football team.

Originally from Chicago, Poole recently relocated to the Phoenix area and enjoys spending time with family, friends and his two rescue pups. Additionally, he loves anything and everything that involves being active or outdoors and is looking forward to visiting every continent and all 50 states.

Brown’s 30 years of experience in venture equity and venture debt is apparent in his ability to adeptly manage sales and strategic business operations working with early-stage companies.

He served as general partner at Point Financial Capital Partners, a venture leasing fund and held a prior role as the president and CFO of InvestLinc Financial Services, an early-stage private equity fund and consulting firm. He has also worked as a partner at Cornerstone Equity Partners, a private equity fund.

Brown has a B.S. in business administration and marketing from McNeese State University and is a current Small Business Investor Alliance – Western Regional Committee member.

Growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana left a lasting impression on Brown. He is an avid LSU fan and loves a good bowl of spicy gumbo on a cold day.
