Igor DaCruz
Igor DaCruz serves as a Managing Director, Head of Credit and Portfolio on Trinity Capital’s Life Sciences group. Igor is a dynamic finance professional with over 13 years of experience advising innovative companies in the technology and life science sectors. He leads the Credit and Portfolio team that is responsible for analyzing incoming investment opportunities and risk management of Trinity’s Life Sciences portfolio.
Previously, Igor served as the Managing Director, Life Sciences at Runway Growth Capital. During his tenure he played a pivotal role in expanding funding to biotech companies including leading the first deal to a pre-FDA approved therapeutics company. Igor has also held a leadership position as Managing Director, Head of Life Sciences at Union Bank and various positions at Silicon Valley Bank, where he led a team that managed a diversified portfolio of over 300 clients and provided strategic guidance to high-growth life science companies.
Igor holds a BS in Management, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts Boston, with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Economics, where he was a student athlete on the soccer team.
Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, he enjoys pursuing personal interests such as judo, outdoor climbing, travel, and craft beer Additionally, Igor actively participates in volunteer activities, such as serving as an alumni council member for the Student Conversation Association (SCA), promoting outdoor exploration and environmental conservation. He has also contributed to fundraising efforts for Oxfam and mentored students through Enroot Education (former Cambridge City Links), supporting immigrant students in the American education system.

He served as general partner at Point Financial Capital Partners, a venture leasing fund and held a prior role as the president and CFO of InvestLinc Financial Services, an early-stage private equity fund and consulting firm.
