Information Technology Manager

Job Description

As the Information Technology Manager, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support. You will troubleshoot and resolve common problems and collaborate as needed with our MSP to resolve more complex issues.

You will also work with management to define and execute continuous improvement activities related to information security, business reporting, and operational efficiency. You will be part of a team defining improvement objectives, developing statements of work, managing outside resources, and deploying solutions within the business. This full-time position will report to the Chief Operating Officer and is based on-site at our Phoenix, AZ office

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide first level technical support to users experiencing hardware, software, or network related issues.
  • Act as the Company’s primary interface with its MSP. Review ongoing issue tracking and performance data to spot trends and define areas for improvement.
  • Provide training to on-site and remote users on new systems and applications as required.
  • Define the optimal hardware configurations for users and the office environment, appropriately balancing user preferences with cost and efficiency considerations.
  • Collaborate with management and business unit leaders to identify new applications that can drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency and business reporting.
  • Assist with updating and keeping current cyber resiliency and disaster recovery plans.
  • Act as the Company’s primary point of contact with vendors / developers of new applications. Develop statements of work and manage scope creep.
  • Communicate development and implementation status to management regarding new initiatives

Education & Qualifications
  • BSc/Ba in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus.
  • 10 years of experience as a System Administrator, IT Project Manager, or similar role.
  • Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management.
  • Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
  • Training experience and experiences with the IT needs of a financial services business and/or a public company are a strong plus.
  • CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, GIAC (GISF) certifications a strong plus.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Occasional travel may be required to the Company’s satellite locations in the US and UK.
  • This position is full-time, on-site and is not eligible for remote work
