Job Description

The Director of Fund Development, Investor Relations role is responsible for spearheading capital-raising efforts for private funds within the Trinity platform, building relationships with investors, and driving business development initiatives to support our growth objectives. This position will identify and target investors, research potential funds and resources, and develop and execute outreach initiatives to raise capital for vehicles managed by Trinity’s registered investment adviser. The ideal candidate must have experience in private fund management as well as a deep network of relationships in the investment community (pensions, foundations, endowments, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, etc.). Additionally, this candidate must possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, as they will be representing our organization to external stakeholders.

This position works closely with the Head of Investor Relations to execute Trinity’s growth strategies.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to raise capital from investors for various fund vehicles at Trinity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential investors, including institutional investors, investment firms, pensions, endowments, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, high-net-worth individuals, and other sources of capital.
  • Spearhead fundraising efforts, including directing the preparation of pitch materials, conducting presentations, and negotiating investment terms.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of outreach interactions and potential financials.
  • Monitor and report on fundraising progress, investment performance, and industry trends to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to drive continuous improvement in business development.
  • Develop and implement marketing and promotional activities to enhance the visibility and reputation of our company within the investor community.

Education & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in capital raising for a financial institution.
  • Series 7 – General Securities Representative License required.
  • Proven track record in investor relations and successfully raising capital to achieve fundraising targets.
  • Deep knowledge of fundraising concepts, principles, procedures, and techniques.
  • Strong network of investor contacts and relationships.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, investment evaluation, and deal structuring.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of securities laws and regulations, including those related to private offerings and exemptions from registration
  • Demonstrated successful execution of projects that utilize negotiation to solve real-world problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals/decks.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products and Salesforce.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 25% of the time.
