Ben Malcolmson

Ben Malcolmson is the Head of Investor Relations for Trinity Capital, serving as the primary point of contact for the investment community. Before moving into the investor relations role, Malcolmson was a Director of Equipment Financing, carrying out business development for Trinity Capital’s Equipment Financing vertical.

Prior to joining Trinity, Malcolmson spent 10 years as the chief of staff to Pete Carroll, head coach of the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks. In total, Malcolmson worked alongside Carroll for 14 seasons, including 11 at the Seattle Seahawks and 3 at the University of Southern California.

Malcolmson graduated from USC with a Master’s degree in Communication Management and a B.A. in Print Journalism. During his college years, Malcolmson spent one fairytale season as a walk-on wide receiver for the USC Trojans football team. The unlikely story is captured in his 2018 book entitled “Walk On: From Pee Wee Dropout to the NFL Sidelines.”

Malcolmson is married to Brittney. In his free time, he enjoys pickleball, golf, biking, hiking, and making the most of the Arizona outdoors.

He served as general partner at Point Financial Capital Partners, a venture leasing fund and held a prior role as the president and CFO of InvestLinc Financial Services, an early-stage private equity fund and consulting firm. He has also worked as a partner at Cornerstone Equity Partners, a private equity fund.

Brown has a B.S. in business administration and marketing from McNeese State University and is a current Small Business Investor Alliance – Western Regional Committee member.
