Job Description
The Senior Analyst, Portfolio Management role covers a wide range of responsibilities including analysis of financial reporting from borrowers, risk management of the loan portfolio, compiling portfolio review reports for executive management, making credit recommendations, and communicating with internal/external constituents. The candidate will serve as the liaison between Trinity’s portfolio management, finance, credit, and executive teams as well as external service providers. This position will be responsible for managing the data contained in financial reporting submissions, KPIs, financial projections, cap tables, portfolio review files, and valuation modeling applied to portfolio assets. This position is based full-time, on-site , at our headquarters office in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact within Trinity for portfolio company finance teams
- Collect monthly financial reporting and compliance data from portfolio companies, including financial statements, KPIs, forecasts, capitalization tables, and covenant tracking
- Perform trend analyses on portfolio company performance and identify items that warrant further investigation
- Complete cash life estimates for portfolio companies based on latest trends
- Contribute to credit risk rating analysis; incorporating numerous factors including performance to plan, cash life, investor support, collateral coverage on debt, and market dynamics
- Assist in valuation of Trinity’s loan and equity assets using internal models
- Organize and maintain portfolio company data within Trinity’s portfolio management database
- Assist with internal and external Trinity portfolio reporting and audit requests
- Support senior portfolio management staff with preparation of credit memos, loan amendments, communication with debt partners, and diligence calls with investors
- Monitor breaking developments and trends involving or affecting portfolio companies; elevate as appropriate within the organization
- Efficiently handle ad-hoc requests to compile and analyze historical data

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Deep familiarity with financial statements: income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow
- General understanding of the various aspects of business operations; e.g. sales, marketing, product development, production
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of, or progress toward completing, MBA or MS Finance
- Experience interfacing with attorneys and negotiating loan agreements
- Familiarity with valuation models and processes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, talk, utilize a computer, and read computer screens for extended periods of time
- Maintain consistent, repetitive motion for data entry (typing/clicking)
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
